Bathroom Remodeling

Homeowner: Dakota and Anna

As part of the home’s full renovation, Dakota wanted the powder room to become a memorable design feature rather than just a functional space. The vision was to create a bold, sophisticated room with unique materials, dramatic color contrast, and integrated functionality, including a discreet laundry area.

Scope of Work

• Complete powder room demolition
• New floor layout and finish selections
• Custom laundry closet with stacked washer and dryer
• New black pedestal sink
• Designer wallpaper installation
• Custom tile wainscoting
• Decorative geometric floor tile
• New black toilet
• Premium brushed brass plumbing fixtures
• Custom frameless shower enclosure with brushed brass hardware (for the adjacent bathroom)
• New recessed lighting
• Smooth wall finish
• Painting and finish carpentry

Materials

• Walls: Designer statement wallpaper
• Wainscoting: Glossy emerald green ceramic tile
• Floor: Geometric porcelain tile
• Sink: Matte black pedestal basin
• Fixtures: Brushed Brass
• Mirror: Custom asymmetrical mirror with brass frame
• Toilet: Matte Black
• Hardware: Brushed Brass

Challenges

The space was narrow and needed to accommodate both a functional powder room and a stacked laundry area without feeling crowded. The homeowners also wanted the room to have a unique personality while remaining practical and easy to maintain.

Our Solution

We designed a custom layout that seamlessly integrates the stacked washer and dryer into the room while maximizing usable space. Bold wallpaper, rich emerald tile, black fixtures, and brushed brass accents create a striking visual contrast, turning a compact utility space into one of the home’s most memorable design features.

Final Result

The finished powder room combines functionality with bold design. Hidden laundry storage, dramatic wallpaper, geometric flooring, and luxurious finishes create a boutique hotel-inspired space that feels stylish, sophisticated, and completely unique.
